			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I always like to experiment a lot with my electronic gadgets. This time the term goes to my Canon SD780 (iXUS  100).</p>
<p>I dont know how i got in to this but finally landed in a page which said &#8220;<a href="http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK">Canon Hack development kit</a>&#8220;, CHDK in short.</p>
<p>After a couple of struggle i finally managed to activate the CHDK firmware on my canon. It says firmware but this will not modify your existing firmware on  the camera and can be deleted or removed simply by formatting your SD CARD  using a PC/laptop.</p>
<p>The following time lapse is my second test using a intervalometer script from <a href="http://www.andrewhazelden.com/blog/">Andrew Hazelden&#8217;s Blog</a>. (<em>spend some time on his blog. he has a very good CHDK articles</em>)</p>

<p>what are required to fix this?</p>
<p>a windows 7 DVD or a windows 7 recovery CD.  Please google around if you have questions working with recovery CD since there are lot step by step instructions available in the internet.</p>
<p>Once you are in the windows 7 recovery mode</p>
<p>1. go to the &#8220;command prompt&#8221; (see below screenshot)<br />

4. type the following commands one by one. dont mind about the results.</p>

bootrec /FixBoot<br />
bootrec /ScanOs<br />
bootrec /RebuildBcd</strong></p>
<p>5. now go to the &#8220;<strong>system recovery option</strong>&#8221; screen again and click on &#8220;<strong>startup repair</strong>&#8220;.<br />
6. Once done, restart your computer.</p>
<p>Starting Windows !!!!!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The log file name is not same every day. The log file name stored in the following format myprogram_2008_03_28.log, next day myprogram_2008_03_29.log and so</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">In this example, we are sending the log in the same day when it generated.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">What happen if the file does not exist? No NUKE. The program simply fails to execute.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To avoid this, add the &#8220;if&#8221; condition to the program and validating the file can overcome the trouble.</p>
