Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 “elevated mode” error on Vista


Many users experiencing the “Elevated mode error” after installing the Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 on Vista and running the program in the administrator login.


The “Elevated mode” error pops up twice and and shuts down the program completely when pressing the “close” button. Disabling the “User Access Control” will help you to run the program successfully without any errors.

Follow the blow steps to make the changes.

step 1:

Go to the control panel and open User Accounts.


Step 2:

Click on the “Turn User Access Control on or off” (highlighted in red on the above image)

Step 3:

After step 2, you will get the following window on your screen.


uncheck the check box saying “Use User Access Control (UAC) to help protect your computer” and press “OK”.

Step 4:

After step 3 the system will ask you to reboot your computer.


Reboot the computer the computer and start the Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
